CANADA STOCKS-TSX makes late-day turn lower
TORONTO, April 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index turned lower on Friday as strong oil and gold prices could not keep the index, overtaken by weakness in the heavyweight financial sector, afloat as the session wound down.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 4.64 points, or 0.04 percent, at 12,195.68. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
