CANADA STOCKS-Strong earnings boost TSX in early action
TORONTO, May 6 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index turned positive shortly after the open on Thursday as strong corporate earnings helped the index fight back from its recent selloff on Greek debt fears.
At 9:35 a.m. (1335 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 2.89 points at 11,878.02.
The resource-heavy index fell some 30 points at the open, with energy issues weakening on fears that Greece's debt crisis may spread to other euro-zone countries and hurt economic recovery. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
