TORONTO, May 7 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened sharply lower on Friday, with energy shares falling more than 1 percent as the price of crude dropped.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened down 88.86 points, or 0.75 percent, at 11,753.57. It then fell more than 1 percent. (Reporting by Jeffrey Hodgson; editing by Peter Galloway)
