CANADA STOCKS-TSX slumps 2 pct at open as banks, oils drop
TORONTO May 25 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index dropped more than 2 percent just after the open on Tuesday due to worries about Europe's banking sector and North Korea's threatened military action against the South.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE dropped 235.61 points, or 2.04 percent, to 11,285.74. All of the index's 10 main groups were lower, led by losses of more than 2 percent in the oil and gas and financial sectors. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
