CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on strong commodities, GDP
TORONTO May 31 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Monday as firm commodity prices and healthy GDP data helped push up resource and banking shares.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 71.26 points, or 0.61 percent, higher at 11,742.70. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
