CANADA STOCKS-TSX rallies on China yuan move
TORONTO, June 21 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index soared at the open on Monday as commodity-linked shares gained broadly on hopes that a more flexible Chinese yuan would boost demand from the world's largest consumer of industrial metals.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 12.01 points to 11,939.60 at the open, and then quickly shot up by 1 percent to 12,047.71. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Mario Di Simine)
