CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on commodities rally

TORONTO, July 13 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday as commodity prices rose on optimism over global economic recovery, driving weighty resource shares up.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 7.49 points, or 0.06 percent, higher at 11,573.25. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
