CANADA STOCKS-TSX drives higher on commodity shares
TORONTO, July 13 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index extended gains on Tuesday morning, driven up by heavyweight resource shares as commodity prices rose on optimism over global economic recovery.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE climbed 117.94 points, or 1.02 percent, to 11,683.70.
All of the index's 10 sectors were higher, with the materials and energy groups up more than 1 percent each. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
