CANADA STOCKS-TSX edges higher at open on firm gold prices
TORONTO, July 15 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened slightly higher on Thursday, boosted by gold prices that rose as the U.S. dollar slipped after U.S. data added to worries about economic recovery.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 4.79 points to 11,624.95 at the open. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
