CANADA STOCKS-TSX weakens as commodities weigh
TORONTO, July 16 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was lower shortly after the open on Friday as weaker commodity prices, including a drop in the price of oil, pushed down shares of natural resource companies.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 51.20 points to 11,690.57 shortly after the open. (Reporting by Jeffrey Hodgson; editing by Peter Galloway)
