CANADA STOCKS-TSX skids as weak US data fuels growth fears
TORONTO, July 16 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index fell sharply on Friday as weak U.S. data and earnings heightened worries about a slow global economic recovery, pushing down heavily weighted commodity shares.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially finished down 182.47 points, or 1.55 percent, to 11,559.30. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
