CANADA STOCKS-TSX little changed as golds down, oil up

TORONTO, July 19 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was slightly lower shortly after the open on Monday as weakness in gold miners overcame support from firm oil and base metal prices.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 20.86 points, or 0.18 percent, at 11,548.79. It opened 0.24 of a point higher. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
