CANADA STOCKS-TSX slips on weak gold miners, financials

TORONTO, July 19 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index closed lower on Monday on falling gold prices and weakness in financial shares ahead of the Bank of Canada's interest rate announcement on Tuesday.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed 38.79 points, or 0.34 percent, lower at 11,530.86. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
