CANADA STOCKS-TSX climbs on U.S. earnings, economic data

TORONTO, July 26 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index ended higher on Monday as strong U.S. corporate earnings and economic data boosted investor optimism about the recovery.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 36.58 points, or 0.31 percent, at 11,750.79. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Rob Wilson)
