CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises at open as energy shares gain
TORONTO Aug 3 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index rose at the open on Tuesday as a weaker U.S. dollar helped to boost oil prices and push energy shares higher.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE ticked 0.48 of a point higher to 11,713.99 at the open, and then quickly soared 1 percent to 11,837.96. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
