CANADA STOCKS-TSX ticks lower on weak golds, economic worry

TORONTO, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index ended slightly lower on Monday, dragged down by weakness in gold miners and by worries that economic recovery will be sluggish.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially finished the session down 7.13 points, or 0.06 percent, at 11,714.94. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
