CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens little changed, oils and banks rise

TORONTO, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index was little changed at the open on Friday as a decline in its materials sector offset advancing energy and financial shares.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 3.72 points at 12,037.25. Shortly after the open, it turned negative, down 11.64 points, or 0.1 percent, at 12,021.89. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
