CANADA STOCKS-TSX closes at two-year high
TORONTO, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index had its highest finish since Sept. 26, 2008 on Tuesday as commodity prices surged on expectations the U.S. Federal Reserve may follow in the footsteps of the Bank of Japan, which took steps to ease credit to bolster its economic recovery.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 175.06 points, or 1.42 percent, at 12,498.00. (Reporting by Solarina Ho; editing by Peter Galloway)
