TORONTO, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index edged higher on Wednesday morning as materials issues such as gold miners pushed higher and offset broad declines elsewhere.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 2.89 points to 12,605.12, after early declines. Materials were up more than 1 percent, while seven other sectors were down. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Rob Wilson)
