CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens slightly higher on oil, U.S. data
TORONTO, April 1 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened modestly higher on Friday, led by firm energy stocks, while overall sentiment was helped by strong U.S. jobs data.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 0.69 of a point higher, at 14,116.79, then extended its gains to 14,133.87.
