CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends lower, gold miners weigh

 TORONTO, Jan 4 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
closed lower on Tuesday, dragged down by blue-chip gold miners
that slumped in step with bullion prices.
 The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
.GSPTSE unofficially closed down 40.91 points, or 0.3 percent
at 13,402.31.
