CANADA STOCKS-TSX closes sharply lower as commodities dive
TORONTO, May 5 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index extended this week's rout on Thursday, closing sharply lower as oil and gold prices plunged as part of a general commodities retreat.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed 155.94 points, or 1.15 pct, lower at 13,455.38.
