CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on rising commodities
TORONTO, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday, helped by a rise in commodity prices after Japan lowered interest rates, a move that raised expectations other central banks and governments will take further steps to spur growth.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 4.83 points to 12,327.77. (Reporting by Solarina Ho; editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
