TORONTO, April 6 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index firmed at the open on Wednesday as mining firms rallied on record gold prices and strong copper prices.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 1.06 points at 14,271.59. Nine of the index's 10 main groups rose.
