CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends lower on revival of European fears

TORONTO, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index ended lower on Tuesday, part of a global selloff of riskier assets spurred by a return of market focus to fears about the European banking sector.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 42.94 points, or 0.35 percent, at 12,101.98. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
