TORONTO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was lower in early action on Thursday with some of the market sidelined ahead of key employment reports in the United States and Canada on Friday and after the index hit two-year highs this week.
At 9:35 a.m. (1335 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 0.82 of a point at 12,500.90, and quickly extended losses. It opened slightly higher, up 0.91 of a point at 12,502.63. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
