CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as market turns cautious
TORONTO, April 12 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Tuesday after posting a big loss the day before, with investors cautious after Alcoa AA.N reported revenue that missed forecasts, commodity prices fell, and Japan upgraded the severity of its nuclear crisis.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened down 0.67 of a point at 13,996.19, before extending losses. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
