CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as market turns cautious
TORONTO, April 12 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Tuesday after posting a big loss the day before, with investors cautious after Alcoa (AA.N: Quote) reported revenue that missed forecasts, commodity prices fell, and Japan upgraded the severity of its nuclear crisis.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened down 0.67 of a point at 13,996.19, before extending losses. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
