TORONTO May 12 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened broadly lower on Thursday after a sour outlook from U.S. tech giant Cisco hurt investor sentiment and as energy and other commodity prices dropped on demand concerns.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened down 76.90 points at 13,342.84. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
