CANADA STOCKS-TSX retreats as commodities slip
TORONTO Oct 12 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index edged lower after a wobbly start on Tuesday as a rebound in the U.S. dollar helped push down commodity prices, undermining the lift from stronger financial shares.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 8.30 points at 12,527.29, shortly after opening slightly higher. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
