CANADA STOCKS-TSX higher on China data, bank capital rules

TORONTO, Sept 13 (Reuters) - Toronto’s resource-heavy index opened higher on Monday as recent Chinese economic data boosted investor confidence in economic recovery, while markets welcomed a deal on global bank rules.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 4.32 points to 12,101.41 at the open. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
