CANADA STOCKS-TSX jumps at open on China import data
TORONTO Feb 14 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rallied broadly in early action on Monday after data showed a lower Chinese trade surplus, with strong imports highlighting its robust demand for commodities.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 9.84 points, or 0.07 percent, higher at 13,776.60, before quickly extending gains. All of its 10 sectors were up, with the materials group advancing more than 1 percent. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
