CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends down but bargain hunters stem losses

 TORONTO, March 15 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
recouped most of its losses on Tuesday as investors scooped up
beaten down shares following a major selloff earlier in the day
on fears of a radiation catastrophe in Japan.
 The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
.GSPTSE unofficially ended down 72.23 points, or 0.5 percent,
at 13,546.96. Earlier, it fell as low as 13,237.93, its lowest
level since Jan. 25.
