TORONTO, April 15 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened slightly higher on Friday, as stronger energy and materials issues shrugged off rising inflation from top resource consumer China.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 3.47 points to 13,825.27, before reversing gains to turn lower. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
