TORONTO, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index climbed at the open on Monday, buoyed by gold-mining issues that drew support from rising gold prices.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 35.07 points, or 0.27 percent, to 13,236.53. Nine of the index's 10 main groups were higher, led by a 1 percent gain in the materials group. Financials were the lone declining sector, down 0.1 percent.
