CANADA STOCKS-TSX rallies at open, RIM jumps
TORONTO Feb 16 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose at the open on Wednesday on firm energy and financial issues as well as on a rally in shares of Research In Motion RIM.TO, which Citigroup raised two notches to "buy".
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 0.26 of a point higher at 13,929.61 and then extended gains quickly.
Research In Motion was up more than 3 percent at C$66.63 after Citigroup raised its rating on the BlackBerry maker to "buy" from "sell." [ID:nSGE71F061] (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
