CANADA STOCKS-TSX edges lower on soft commodities
TORONTO, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened slightly lower on Wednesday in a broad sell-off, as commodity prices weakened on renewed worries that China will hike interest rates to fight inflation.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 4.46 points to 12,597.77 at the open, and then extended losses. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
