CANADA STOCKS-TSX flat as materials offset energy
TORONTO, April 19 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Tuesday as cooling oil prices pressured energy stocks, but the index turned positive shortly after as mining issues offset losses.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 2.17 points, at 13,704.50 shortly after the open. ($1=$0.96 Canadian) (Reporting by Solarina Ho; Editing by James Dalgleish)
