CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on resources, banks

TORONTO, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Friday with strong U.S. earnings boosting investor morale and base-metal miners, energy and financial shares all rallying.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 3.20 points, or 0.02 percent, at 13,334.52, and then extended gains. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
