CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns lower briefly as energy shares weigh
TORONTO Oct 21 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index turned lower briefly shortly after the open on Thursday as energy shares outweighed gains in other index sectors, which were bolstered by another round of strong corporate earnings reports in the United States.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE dipped 1.27 points to 12,648.65, before moving higher again. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
