CANADA STOCKS-TSX tips higher at open on oil rally
TORONTO Feb 23 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index made mild gains at the open on Wednesday on strength in the oil and gas sector, which was buoyed by further gains in the price of oil.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 5.78 points, or 0.04 percent, at 13,969.46. Half of the index's 10 main groups were higher, led by a 0.6 percent advance in its energy sector. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
