CANADA STOCKS-TSX lower on recovery fears; BMO weighs
TORONTO Aug 24 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index stumbled at the open on Tuesday as concerns over domestic growth and the global recovery pressured commodity prices, while results from Bank of Montreal (BMO.TO: Quote) disappointed.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 11.69 points, or 0.1 percent, to 11,706.94 at the open, and quickly extended its fall by more than 100 points. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
