CANADA STOCKS-Weaker gold miners pull TSX lower
TORONTO, April 25 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index turned negative shortly after the open on Monday, as weaker gold miners dragged despite record bullion prices and news that Barrick Gold Corp ABX.TO struck a deal to buy Equinox Minerals EQN.TO.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 2.96 points to 13,969.06, after opening in slightly positive territory.
