TORONTO, May 25 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index seesawed in early dealings on Wednesday, then extended gains as rising metal prices outweighed lingering economic uncertainties.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE edged up 2.55 points to 13,597.67, after opening slightly lower.
Seven of the index's 10 main groups were lower, but its three weightiest sectors -- financials, energy, and materials -- were all higher.
