CANADA STOCKS-TSX up more than 1 pct on miners, energy
TORONTO Aug 27 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose more than 1 percent on Friday, led by gains in energy and mining issues , as the index rebounded from earlier declines seen after testimony by U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 117.31 points, or 1.01 percent, to 11,770.49. (Reporting by Jeffrey Hodgson; editing by Rob Wilson)
