CANADA STOCKS-TSX falls on broad pressure, golds shine

TORONTO, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index unofficially ended slightly lower on Thursday as strength in gold-mining stocks was nearly enough to offset broadbased weakness and a drop in Potash Corp shares.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 3.16 points, or 0.03 percent, to 12,564.09. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
