CANADA STOCKS-TSX hits 2010 high as resources, financials gain
TORONTO, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index hit its highest level this year on Wednesday as heavyweight resource and financial shares gained strength and gold miners pared losses amid record bullion prices.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose as high as 12,328.90, surpassing the previous 2010 high reached in late April. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
