CANADA STOCKS-TSX little changed but golds weigh

TORONTO Aug 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was little changed at the open on Monday as concern about the sustainability of the global economic recovery were weighed against U.S. data that showed personal spending rose more than expected.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 0.95 of a point to 11,880.67, after opening slightly lower. Seven of the index's 10 main groups were higher, but materials were pressured by declining gold issues. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway )
