CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens up on commodities, U.S. data
TORONTO, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Thursday, helped by rising commodity prices and stronger-than-expected U.S. economic data.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 0.43 of a point at 12,383.25 before extending gains. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
