CANADA STOCKS-TSX gains on golds at open
TORONTO Aug 31 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was higher shortly after the open on Tuesday, lifted by strength in gold-mining issues as the price of gold hit a two-month high.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 8.34 points at 11,903.89, after opening lower. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
