TORONTO, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Friday, weighed down by weakness in gold miners and
other companies in the materials sector, as the price of bullion
drifted lower.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
was down 23.90 points, or 0.20 percent, at 11,787.48
shortly after the open.
